Open Mic @ The Anchor Pub

Every artist starts somewhere.

Whether you're a painter, a poet or in this case, a musician, you need a chance. A chance to hone your craft. To show a tiny fragment of the world who you are and what makes you tick. To show them what you've made. To hammer out the problems. To get out of your basement and more often than not, out of your own head and try it out in front of people.

Nothing embodies this concept quite like an Open Mic.

A signup sheet, A stage, and a couple of minutes in the limelight.

It's a showcase for anyone brave enough to jump up on that stage and show the room what they've got. From the fresh faced young musicians to the grizzled vets, that bar manager who might invite you back or those friends you invited along, as well as all the regular patrons in various states of intoxication. They're all watching you on that stage.

James Berkley can often be found running around the pub and plays his next show on May 6th at Alki Beach. Sooner if you're lucky!

Midnight Lights can be found in full force anywhere around Seattle and Everett!

As for the rest of these brave souls you'll have to come out to The Anchor Pub's Open Mic night, every Thursday starting at 9 PM.
